All these people, these hundreds of thousands of people, have stories. Fascinating, ever-unwinding stories. I am just one of them. And I am still midsentence.”

About Me

I’m an editor with a passion for supporting the creation of meaningful content.

Whenever I finish reading a book, I enjoy reading the acknowledgements page where the author thanks all those who helped bring this book to readers’ hands. Always on those lists are the editors. And it makes me think about how amazing it is to be part of that story-telling process, to help writers bring their ideas to life. People have such wonderful stories to tell, and I want to help people tell them.

In my free time, I like to read (no surprise there), sing showtunes, and connect with friends and family. I always feel proud to create art, and I feel even prouder when I contribute to helping others create their own art. I look forward to utilizing my skills, experience, and interests as I further my career in editing and continue my story.

A graduate of Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU), I worked as a copyeditor for the university’s student-run newspaper, the Independent, where I helped a variety of writers reach readers clearly and effectively. This portfolio is an exhibition of my skills and experience in editing over my years at NEIU.
